Every week, one article from the print edition of the Analog Edition Zine will be added online, until all 64 pages are available.
This week, check out Carter Smith of the excellent Rollo Grady interview Justin Gage of everyone's favorite music blog, Aquarium Drunkard. After the jump, listen to a selection of tracks from Gage's Autumn Tone Records label while you read about his take on running a music blog and his advice for other blogger-started labels. If you missed it last week, you can also read Jason Dean's history of the 90s Lo-fi rock 7-inch and an interview with JEFF The Brotherhood's Jake Orrall on his family's label, Infinity Cat Records.

Futurebirds - "Wild Heart" (Live at Bonnaroo 2011)
The Futurebirds played the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN on Thursday and Archive.org has the full set up for download. The Athens band has already put out one of the year's best EPs in Via Flamina, and if you haven't caught the group in concert yet, you can now check out live renditions of some of those grand and gorgeously ramshackle tracks, like the Stevie Nicks original, "Wild Heart." Video: Futurebirds - "Megachills"
Autumn Tone Records will be re-releasing a freshly remastered version of the Futurebirds' eponymous 2009 debut EP on April 19th. In celebration, Los Angeles filmmaker David Phillips put together a beautifully psychedelic video collage for the EP's "Megachills" filled with picturesque shots of motorcyclists and nude folks frolicking about in various swimming holes. This will be the second EP release for the Futurebirds in 2011, the first being the astounding Via Flamina which I raved about here. Watch the video after the jump.

Review: Futurebirds :: Via Flamina
I once wrote, rather dramatically, that the Futurebirds play as if "on the edge of a knife between harmony and utter chaos, celebrating every moment as if it's their last." And that balancing act applies again to the band's newest EP, Via Flamina. The ramshackle live play of the outfit, reminiscent of an early My Morning Jacket, is often wild and raw, but there are also moments of delicate harmony where soaring vocals and slide guitar come together to reach for the sky.

Streaming/Fondling: Futurebirds, Cass McCombs, Timbre Timbre, Cotton Jones
I don't like streaming. As an avid consumer of all things music, when I really dig something I want to keep it: whether it's by downloading it, preordering it, or running down the street to the record shop and searching for it in the non-alphabetized "general letter" section. The dangling of desirable ear-tingling goods within reach to sample but not take home is like going to the supermarket, fondling all of the best produce, and then leaving them for the next shopper to rifle through all over again. When I find a good grapefruit, I want to it take home. However, this blogger's streaming bin is piling up and am therefore left with no choice but to share these fine gems on a fondle-only basis.
