Vancouver quartet
Peace recently caught my ear with the chugging romantic foot-tapper "Your Hand In Mine." Lead singer Dan Gedde's deeply resonant, Jonathan Richman-recalling vocal take sits confidently atop a driving and heavy dose of drums and guitars in anthemic, speeding, windows-rolled-down fashion. The track is the very promising first peak at Peace's sophomore LP,
The World Is Too Much With Us, named for an 1802-penned sonnet by William Wordsworth. The record drops October 16th via the great
Suicide Squeeze.
