New Deer Tick - "Twenty Miles"

Deer Tick has offered a download from their forthcoming June 8th release, The Black Dirt Sessions. The song, "Twenty Miles," finds John McCauley experimenting with his deep-throated rasp to the point where you can literally feel his vocal cords vibrate during the chorus. That and an acoustic bass make for a particularly rugged and sparse song, but that's just Deer Tick at its best. The band also recorded a few songs for the "Take Away Show" last year that never ran—you can now watch them all on Vimeo here.
