"If it rains another day, i'll probably freak out"

The Shape of Things by Oakland band Man/Miracle is a manic and sweated over record that's rhythmically charged with a schizophrenic wrecking ball force. The album's ten songs are all written about the decrepit house that served as the band's living quarters, rehearsal space and occasional basement venue. Singer/guitarist Dylan Travis explains it best: "The cover is a picture of the Ryugyong Hotel, which is this building in North Korea that's falling apart but has been under construction since 1987. It's about living in this space that's both crumbling and full of life."
